Mr. Gervais Labrecque has been a member of the Barreau du Québec for over 45 years. Throughout his career as a defence lawyer, he developed a high level of expertise in criminal law.
He took part in multiple complex files during trials involving a judge and a jury at the Superior Court of Québec, before the Appeal Court of Québec and before the Supreme Court of Cana-da.
From 1979 to 1985, Mr. Labrecque was a member of the commission of inquiry regarding all the administration aspects of the municipality of Rimouski. During the years 1997 and 1998, he acted as a prosecutor for wildlife conservation officers during the hearings of the commission of inquiry regarding the circumstances of the drowning of two aboriginal persons in the Moisie River in 1977.
