Our firm represented a client charged with threatening to cause bodily harm (Sec. 264.1 of the Criminal Code) to a woman who lived near him.
Our client had a physical handicap and mental health issues. He had a history of assault and obstructing a peace officer. During his testimony, our client vehemently denied having threatened to cause bodily harm to the woman in question, and we had his social worker testify, who confirmed that our client was a polite person who respected social laws. Our client benefitted from a reasonable doubt and was acquitted.
